The Morion Blade's moveset is unremarkable. Coupled with its low base damage and its lack of scaling makes using the Morion Blade as a primary weapon a mediocre choice at best. Its true utility lies in its special characteristics: when its wielder has less than 30% health, the Morion Blade causes any damage he or she deals to increase by 60%. This makes the Morion blade a great off-hand weapon, as the damage boost applies to the primary weapon as well, maximizing potential damage output.
The Morion Blade's effects stack and compound with those of other damage-boosting equipment. For example, it stacks with the Clever Rat's Ring, granting at 140% boost in total.
While the Morion Blade's requirements are fairly minimal, it still grants a 60% damage buff to those that have insufficient stats to wield it.
The only other weapon that causes damage to increase by a percentage is the Kris Blade. However, even a fully upgraded Kris Blade grants only half as much damage bonus as the Morion Blade, and only impacts spell damage. On the other hand, The Kris Blade does not require its user to be almost dead to enjoy its benefits.
