In-Game Description
- A long spear with countless thorns on the tip. It was forged from the Soul of the Demon "Phalanx." It scrapes away at an opponent's equipment and lowers its durability.
Availability[]
- Can be created after giving the Red Hot Demon's Soul to Blacksmith Ed. Requires the Lead Demon's Soul and a +7 spear.
- Also dropped by a black phantom in 1-4.
General Information[]
The Scraping Spear is the only weapon that actively reduces enemy equipment durability. To be more precise, it reduces 10 durability with each successful hit. With enough hits taken from a Scraping Spear, any opponent's equipment eventually breaks, becoming much less effective. This weapon is particularly useful against katana users, since their weapon's durability is extremely low. While this property is not useful against monsters, it can greatly reduce hostile humans' ability to deal damage. This spear is also used by a black phantom in 1-4.
